The Toronto Raptors Are Balling Right Now

The Toronto Raptors are balling right now and they have made a name for themselves and their country of Canada. The Toronto Raptors have raised their popularity this year surpassing the popularity of the team when Vince Carter played their years ago, entertaining the fans with his high flying dunks and spot on shooting.

Now with spot on jump shots from players like Kyle Lowry, Greivis Vasquez, and high flying aerobatics from the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Amir Johnson the Toronto Raptors are a fun group to watch. Fans have been coming out of the wood works this year even the famous hip hop rapper Drake. The raptors games are filled with as many celebrities these days as knick and laker games.

Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets In The 2014 Playoffs

Despite the Toronto Raptors success the raptors are still playing against the Brooklyn Nets in this years 1st round of the payoffs and they are making their presence known. The raptors are currently leading the series 3-1 and it seems that the Brooklyn nets don't have an answer for the raptors.

In game 3 DeMar Derozan had 33 points which came in the form of high flying dunks and ridiculous jump shots with some of the best defense on him. He was half man unstoppable and Kyle Lowry had a complete game as well. The passion that this group of guys plays with is undeniable these days and the NBA has welcomed them into .500 club this season.

Since the NBA all-star break the raptors have literally turned it on though.despite a few losses that cost them their number 3 spot in the Western Conference rankings during the regular season. They are literally making the most of this years playoffs and giving the world a little taste of Canada every time they touch the floor.

Will The Toronto Raptors Make It To The Second Round In The NBA Playoffs?

So even though the Brooklyn Net fans say that the Toronto raptors won't make it past their team it really looks like the raptors will be going to the second round of the NBA playoffs. With their lack of team issues and their ease of scoring I just don't see the nets beating them in the first round.

These Toronto raptors are playing with a focus unlike no other but now that the series is tied up 2-2 only time will tell which one of these teams will make it out of the first round to advance to the second. However, with both Lowry,  DeRozan and Johnson playing some of their best basketball  right now this series will only get tougher.

In tonight's game Lowry had 22 points and he literally was balling people and Amir Johnson was in full stride in the paint as well. Game five is scheduled for wednesday so if you haven't been following this series guy tune in at 8pm for a highlight reel.

These Guys Are Crashing faster then A Person off Of A Sugar Binge The Pacers Can't Seem To Win

The Indiana Pacers Just Can't Seem To Win Against The Atlanta Hawks

The Indiana Pacer's issues within the team continue after they lost by 13 in Atlanta versus an energetic Jeff Teague and Atlanta Hawk lineup. I believe the picture of Indiana Pacer David West above explains everything, and pacer fans are starting to get worried that their no.1 seed won't make it out of round 1.

Tonight when the Pacers needed to continue their hot streak that they had in game two everyone struggled. Especially Roy Hibbert who went an abysmal 2 of 9 from the floor. It's just like the basket is the size of a nickel right now for him. Even though Lance Stephenson led the Indiana Pacers with 21 points and Louis Scola chipped in with 17 points, Paul George played below par with only 12 points.

In game 1 Roy Hibbert had all of the right shots and just couldn't get one in the basket, and the rest of the Indiana Pacers seemed to be there in body but just not there mindset wise. So when game 2 rolled around and they were clicking on all cylinders Indiana fans were on their feet.

Little did they know last night the pacers would struggle yet again from the floor on offense and defense. It just seemed like the pacers were 5 steps behind the hawks Jeff Teague in the third quarter and in the fourth.

The Atlanta Hawks Crush The Indiana Pacers In The 3rd Quarter

 Jeff Teague played phenomenal he ended up with 22 points and 10 assists and Kyle Korver literally ate the pacers up from behind the arc. Korver hit the pacers up for four three's to finish up the game, and send the Atlanta, GA fans into a frenzy.

The coaching scheme or better yet the game plan for lats night's game was on point for the hawks, because they literally sped up the pace of the game and ran the pacers out of the gym. The Hawks started to pull away in the third quarter and they literally never looked back. Teague tore through the paint on the pacers and kept his eyes on the basket as he took it to the rim possession after possession. You can see the highlights in the video below.

He never kept his head down though, because he kept an eye out for the crafty come off of the screen Kyle Korver. Boy did Korver not disappoint either! He literally filled up the stat sheet from the 3 point line for the hawks.

Will the Indiana Pacers Pull Out A Win Against Atlanta In Game Four?

The critics are already talking and it's looking like the faith in the Indiana Pacers and their future in the playoffs is looking slim to known. To be honest even thought the pacers are the number one seed in the east they are literally struggling like the number eight seed. It will be very interesting to see if they can bounce back in game four, because if they can't they will be headed home in the first round. 

Plus they won't be able to face the Miami heat team that knocked them out of the eastern conference finals last year. We shall stay tuned to see the future of the Indiana pacers.

Arika Kane The Fresh Voice Of R&B

      The music industry has so many talented artists within it's extra large realm, but none like Ms. Arika Kane. With melodic tracks like "Waiting", "Bcuz I love You", and  "4 The Lovers" her music has that nostalgic 90's good r&b feel to it.  If you guys didn't know her song "Bcuz I love You" peaked at number thirty-nine on the US Billboard Hot Adult R&B Airplay chart. 

       The sophomore single, “4 the Lovers“ charted at number seven on the Single Sales chart, number nineteen on the R&B Airplay chart and at number eighty on Billboard Hot 100. “Here With Me,“ the third single, also charted at number four on the Single Sales chart, number fourteen on the R&B Airplay and number sixty-seven on the Hot 100. 

The song was placed on the first season of VH1's Love & Hip Hop and eventually became Kane's first platinum-selling single.  If you have not had the chance to hear Arika Kane sing please take a minute of your time and click on her official videos below, I guarantee you you will not regret it. OK guys now that I have you given you a little bit of information on the platinum single having singer Arika Kane, and introduced you to some of her music. I'm going to tell you more information on her musical accomplishments.

Arika Kane Music From Then Until Now

Now for those of you who aren't familiar with Arika Kane I have to tell you not only is she two studio albums in career wise, but she has some of the most dedicated fans that I have come across. With multiple fan pages throughout twitter the amount of love she gets from her fans is both real and astounding. Arika's first studio album self titled "Arika Kane" was released in 2010 and it included all of the hits listed above.

This album really brought attention to her and it even landed six of her songs a spot on a group of nationally recognized television shows like;  Love & Hip Hop, What Chill Wants, Single Ladies, Disaster Date, and last but not least Vh1's Basketball Wives. (arika kane wikipedia pg.)

So tell me are you familiar with Arika Kane yet? Ok I guess I need to introduce her to you guys the readers a little bit more how about this way. How about in 2010 both Arika and her label were named artist and label of the year for 20 weeks straight by the UAC Media base Charts.    (arika kane wikipedia pg.)

Now lets jump to 2012 when Arika released her sophomore album titled "Substance" and can I say it was the very meaning of the title. This album reached number 7 on the amazon.com and several songs from this album were placed on season two of VH-1's Single Ladies. Oh but it doesn't stop there her single "Make It" was chosen by VH-1 for the show Hollywood Exes. The spin off Atlanta Exes will also feature the song "Make It" as well. VH-1 literally loves the feel good music vibe and Arika Kane definitely had what they were looking for.

Did I mention that she also has single featuring the one and only Brian McKnight titiled "It's There" that she released in March of 2014? Guys she isn't just an artist making songs for her and her family and friends to listen to in the house or the car. She's a real artist constantly working and creating some of the most soulful music as of to date.

Now let's get to the juicy stuff, let's get to the interview I had the chance to do with Arika so you the readers can get to know her on more of a personal level.

1.) At what age did you decide that you wanted to make singing your career?

I started singing at 10 and after high school is when I decided to seriously pursue singing/music.

2.) What is the weirdest thing a fan has done to either meet or talk to you? 

two girls snuck backstage as part of the workers' at my show.

3.) Some artists want a Grammy, a multi-platinum selling award, or to become that famous artist what do you want to accomplish industry wise? 

I definitely am aiming for at least a handful of Grammy awards. Also my songwriting is important to me so I want to also write for other artists in the future, and I'm excited to produce as well.

4.) What separates your music from the music that is played and promoted today?

Substance ;-)

5.) Who are your top 5 fave artists to listen to in your down time?

Adele, Janelle Monae, Allen Stone, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson's entire library 

6.) What is your favorite song of all time and why is this song your favorite?

A masterpiece that was created in the late 50's "The Sound of Music" because the melodies & lyrics in this song were forever instilled in my heart since I was a child.

7.) What advice do you have to up and coming indie rnb artists trying to be heard?

Be as Independent as possible..know your advantages as an artist in every situation. Take advantage of the Internet & Social media to build your fan base internationally. 

8.) What is your favorite food or that guilty pleasure food that you shouldn't eat but you do anyway?

Chocolate is bliss ;-)

9.) Every woman has a favorite item whether it is a pair of shoes, a car, clothes, location to travel to so what is your favorite item? 

The beach is always my favorite accessory, 

10.) Is there anyone in the music industry producer, artist, band, label rep that you are dying to meet? And why? 

No one specifically. My journey is unique and I'm a free spirit when it comes to my artistry, therefore I am open and always excited to meet whoever happens to cross my path because it's always for a reason.

All I can say is that Arika Kane has converted me as a fan because not only is she making great music but she's genuine ,down to earth, and real with her fans.          On Monday April 21, 2014 I had the chance to interview indie super producer Joey Cutless the man behind the beats. He has been producing tracks for tv shows, signed artists, indie artists and helping to educate thousands on the music business for years now. Joey Cutless was not only humble and laid back, but this guy knows music hands down from the proper placement of snare drum patterns to beat bpm's he's got beat creation down packed. You don't have to take my word for it just ask one of his 150,000 twitter followers. Let me give you a guys a little bit of Joey's background so you understand who and what he's all about guys.

Raised in middle Georgia, aka the “dirty south”,  Joey Cutless is an American hip-hop producer, engineer, and online beat sales and music licensing pioneer. Joey has produced a staggering amount of music for television shows, advertisements, video games, multimedia, live event scores, motion pictures and of course, recording artists. Joey Got started doing music as an emcee at around 12 years old and later, developed production skills to produce beats for his own projects due to lack of budget to hire an  outside producer.   As a recording artist in high-school, Joey Cutless performed live as an opening act for artists such as Lil Jon, Ludacris, T.I, Big Boi of Outkast, Hot boyz/Cash Money, Goodie Mob, Pastor Troy, DJ Kizzy Rock, and Mase.

For alot of people just making beats is enough but For Joey Cutless it never was, he has also learned and started to provide his services for production, mixing and mastering for artists that need it.

So now let's get to the good part the moment you have all been waiting for the epic interview that took place last night with none other then joey cutless.

1. At what age did you start making beats?

I was rapping at 14 so basically once I learned how to make beats I startedmaking them for myself to rap on probably around 16.

2. What is your motivation as a producer?

Just providing for my family and being and doing new things that leave new business strategies or tactics for future producers.

3. How would you describe your beat making style?

My beat making style is very spontaneous. I pretty much am capable of using any production strategy. One day I'm playing on a 88 key keyboard and layering a track heavily. Then maybe later on that day I'm chopping some samples from records and adding a kick, snare, and not much else. It's all about what sounds good in the moment.

4. What is your favorite record that you produced and why is it your favorite?

Hmm.. I don't have a favorite to be honest. I've got 300 beats on my website, about 400 on my computer that no one has ever heard, another 500 on tv shows that aren't online and a ton of songs I produced for small and big names alike. Honestly if I had favorites I have forgotten about them lol.

5. Who is the one artist that you want to work with in the industry today?

Jay-Z, Outkast, Nas, Bone Thugs and Harmony (all 5 members)

6.Where do you see yourself industry wise in the next year?

I'm moving to the executive side of things more, developing artists and using some of my relationships to put some talented artists on. The one's who deserve it and who have been working hard of course.

7, What production equipment or brand do you prefer to create music on?

I use Reason mostly, but also cubase. Fl Studio and I also use a Roland MV8000 which I will never get rid of, even though everything is software based now.

KD "The Durantula" Mr.Kevin Durant Is Now In The History Books

Kevin Durant Is Now In The History Books

Kevin Durant is now in the history books for having the longest streak of 30 or more point games in the NBA. Can you say wow! Kevin nicknamed the "Durantula" has literally become an explosive scoring machine in the league and is literally a monster on the offensive end for the Oklahoma City Thunder organization.

I mean guys he has literally become the most talked about player in the league surpassing the popularity of LeBron James and even Kobe Bryant. Plus his shoes distributed by Nike that are currently selling for a cool $139.00 can't stay on the shelves in sneaker stores. Everyone wants the KD's and everyone is sporting his jersey these days from young to old. In the video clip below Durant drops 52 points sheesh!

Kevin Ties With Michael Jordan

As I stated above young Kevin is in the history books for most consecutive games with 30 or more points, and he is currently tied in the history books with Michael Jordan. KD has managed to do this in 36 games so far and with the playoffs starting this saturday April 19, 2014 I don't think he's done adding to this amazing accomplishment yet.

Below is another clip of Kevin Durant literally shredding LeBron James when the two guarded eachother head on. Even though LeBron dropped 34 Kevin scored 33 points and the Thunder took home the victory. I'm a be dead honest with all of you NBA fans out there, KD is a problem for any team and any player PERIOD!!

What Makes Kevin So Hard To Guard

See I thought about this long and hard I have even gone over OKC game footage until it finally donned on me. KD is so hard to guard because he has the speed to take a defender off of the dribble, the strength and leaping ability to shoot fade away jump shots over any defender, and the baskeball court awareness to make the pass to an open teammate in the open floor for an easy basket.

This is what they call in the NBA a triple threat! The crazy thing about it is KD is only 25 years old and the man has a 7ft wingspan. In the picture above do you see how high he gets when he takes off for a dunk?

All I can say is Mike Conley Jr., Zach Randolph, Courtney Lee and the rest off the Memphis Grizzlies have their work cut out for them for this playoff series. As an extra bonus checkout Durant in the video below dropping a whopping 66 points at Rucker Park in New York, where all of the legends have balled in the summer of 2011.

I forsee KD going for 30 or more each game and literally tearing apart the Memphis defense, but then again it is the NBA and you never know what could happen guys. I better get a pair of KD's sneakers now before the his stock in Nike and the price of them go up this year.

So as the world already knows the cast from LAHHATL has been all over the media as of late. From The Benzino shooting to now this the Mimi and Nikko sex tape. If you guys remember last season Mimi supposedly called it quits with Nikko, after a couple of negative situations took place. The 1st would have to be when Nikko gave her what was supposed to be a Rolex watch for her at his video release party, in which she invited her ex Stevie J. Stevie who quickly identified the watch as a fake in front of him. 

    Then Stevie J upped the anty when he gave Mimi the keys to a BMW and sparks started to fly. Mimi and Nikko got into a verbal altercation over Stevie calling his watch a fake and he even shared words with Stevie J. He asked Mimi to leave his video release party and managed to call Mimi damaged goods among other things. However, the drama doesn't stop there soon after the incident the two got back together is when Mimi  found out from associate Karli Redd who is currently rumored to be dating rapper Yung Joc that Nikko hit on her in a Atlanta night club. 

When Mimi confronted Nikko it was nothing but a disaster because not only did he not deny hitting on ms. Karli. but he also asked if mimi would consider being apart of a threesome with him and Karli Redd. You guys remember that right? Well long story short Mimi exploded and the two had to be separated by the on set security that vh1 has.

To be perfectly honest this whole situation is just crazy to me due to the fact that now Mimi Faust is acting shocked that the footage was released to the world two days ago. She is seen sitting in an attorneys office crying stating that she doesn't want any problems with having custody of her daughter. C'mon now really?

I mean I'm just saying now you care about your daughter? Mimi is rumored to have made $100,000.00 off of the sexual footage with Nikko so I'm wondering why is she so upset now? I mean the check has already been cut and we have yet to hear Vh1's opinion on it.

Mimi From LAHHATL New Season Drama Continues

Now Mimi has to worry about Stevie J trying to gain full custody of his daughter from her? C'mon now Stevie J and the whole Joseline situation is no better. I really think these two need to calm down and work out their problems that they have, I mean it's like they do things to irritate and hurt eachother. 

We shall see what will take place with the whole custody situation between these two, but in the mean time the world will be talking about this infamous sex tape. While Mimi stresses over Stevie J and his next move towards trying to take her daughter away from her.

All I can say is I really think Nikko wanted this sex tape thing to happen to bring some type of relevance to his name, and he was actually able to convince Mimi to do it. C'mon girl you have to be smarter then this!

The Uconn Huskies Silenced The Doubters And Won The Final Four Championship

The Uconn Huskies Have Silenced The Critics And Are The 2014 Champions

First of all I want to say congratulations to the Uconn Huskies for fighting their way through the brackets and winning the final four championship game last night on April 7, 2014. The Uconn Huskies led by Shabazz Napier jumped out to an 18-5 lead over the Kentucky wildcats in the beginning of the first half. 

Napier proved that the Kentucky Wildcats zone defense would have to extend itself to cover him, when he busted a 3 point shot 8 feet behind the 3 point line on the unexpected wildcats to stun them in the first half. Then an excellent spin around under the basket reverse layup by Ryan Boatright took the Huskies to a 25-10 lead and put him in the highlight reel on sports center today April 7, 2014. The Uconn Huskies were on an offensive roll and their experience was evident. The Uconn Huskies led by as much as 15 points in the first half, and the wildcats literally cut that lead to one with 8:13 left in the first half. The huskies also managed to put a lid on Aaron Harrison so he had no chance to shoot a spot up 3 pointer on them like he did Wisconsin. Click the link to view the video below.

The Uconn Huskies Gameplan In The Second Half Proves To Much For The Wildcats

Kevin Ollie literally had his work cut out for him when John Calipari switched the Kentucky wildcats defense from man to man to a strong zone defense. Once Calipari made this game changing move the wildcats literally managed a 10-0 comeback and had the huskies rattled and making careless turnovers left and right. To end the first half the wildcats had literally climbed back into the game at the half.

Kevin Ollie frustrated and in disbelief called a timeout and Shabazz Napier of the Uconn Huskies jumped off of the bench from taking his 2nd half rest, and hyped his teammates up by saying "You guys we have to play hard this is about how bad we want to win, so how bad do we want this game guys?"

Even though guard Ryan Boatright rolled his ankle with 9:00 minutes left in the 2nd half he came back in the game after uconn took a timeout to finish off the wildcats. Ryan had this to say about why he re- entered the game after he rolled his ankle: "I've got a lot of heart and I wasn't coming out," Boatright said. "We put in too much work all year for me to give up on an ankle sprain." 

Ryan boatright literally ended the game strong and single handedly shut down shooting guard Andrew Harrison throughout the whole game. Shabazz Napier shut the other twin aaron harrison down holding him to 3-7 from the 3 point line.

The Uconn Huskies Bring The Win Home To Connecticut

It was literally war on the court as the kentucky wildcats kept attempting to comeback in the second half. James Young literally posterized Amida Brimah with a powerful one handed slam dunk in the second half and the kentucky fans went crazy.

However no matter what the wildcats did the huskies had an answer and they literally fought their way through to the end of the game. Shabazz Napier was named the "Outstanding Player of The game and he deserved it guys. Napier literally led his team scoring wise and leadership wise on the floor and I must applaud him for that. He never rushed any shots he tried to keep his calm demeanor and tried to keep running their offense no matter what the wildcats were doing.

Even when the wildcats were giving the Uconn front court fits around the back board Napier kept running plays for his big men, he never gave up on their scoring abilities or the coaching scheme coach Ollie had set in place.

Again congragulations to the 2014 Uconn Huskies they deserved this win because they played hard and they left everything on the floor.
